Innovation has always been at the heart of Fujifilm. Across print technologies, workflows and applications, we continue to invest in ideas that push the industry forward and give you new ways to compete, grow and create value.
From Sept. 23–25, our spirit of innovation heads to Las Vegas for PRINTING United Expo. The gathering is an opportunity to bring together the technology, expertise and passion behind everything we do while connecting with the people who share our belief in continuing to challenge what is possible in print.
As technology advances, new opportunities continue to emerge for print providers. At PRINTING United, we’re bringing many of them to life.
Take our Make More philosophy. It is about expanding what you can offer, finding smarter ways to produce it and creating new opportunities from the technology, people and capabilities already driving your business.
PRINTING United Expo provides the perfect opportunity to bring those pieces together. Commercial printers are exploring packaging. In-plants are seeking ways to bring more sophisticated applications in-house. Print providers are navigating shorter runs, more SKUs, tighter turnaround expectations and customers are looking for something different enough to get noticed.
Across the industry, there is a shared push to make production easier and more predictable.
So, step into the world of Fujifilm and see how we’re turning those industry conversations into real-world technology.
Make More with REVORIA
The complete REVORIA PRESS™ Production Toner portfolio will be part of the experience, led by the new REVORIA PRESS™ PC2120. The six-color platform combines automation, AI-assisted image optimization and expanded CMYK+ capabilities to give print providers more freedom in what they can produce.
Specialty toner options such as Green and Pink expand the available color gamut while Gold, Silver, White, Clear and Textured Clear create embellishments and effects capable of turning an ordinary application into something customers want to pick up and examine.
The creative possibilities are only part of the equation. The PC2120 is also designed to streamline makeready, reduce manual touchpoints, improve consistency and reduce waste. Sophisticated print becomes much more valuable when it can be produced efficiently enough to make sense for the business.
A similar balance between capability and practicality runs through the REVORIA PRESS EC2100S and SC285S, bringing many of the same specialty color possibilities into mid-range production environments.
Both support five-color printing in a single pass, giving more print providers access to Pink, Clear, Textured Clear, Gold, Silver and White applications without requiring a move to our flagship platform.
Bring Production Closer
Production today also extends well beyond the traditional production floor. The ApeosPro C810 shows how those lines continue to blur. With speeds up to 81 pages per minute, broad media support and finishing options including stapling, folding and booklet making, ApeosPro brings production-class imaging capabilities into higher-end office and in-house environments. We also will feature select Apeos™ Office multifunction printers for customers and dealers interested in seeing Fujifilm’s approach to professional-quality printing, scanning, copying and faxing across smaller office environments.
Explore the Packaging Opportunity
And then there is packaging. The J Press™ FP790 Flexible Packaging Press represents an important step into a market being reshaped by many of the same pressures affecting commercial print: shorter runs, more versions, faster turnarounds and growing expectations around sustainability. The aqueous digital inkjet press is designed to complement traditional flexo production by giving converters another way to efficiently handle short- to medium-run work. The FP790 will be displayed virtually at the show, but the experience goes much further than a video or traditional product demonstration.
Step Inside the Technology
One of the experiences we are most excited to bring to Las Vegas is a new virtual reality and augmented reality experience inviting visitors to step inside Fujifilm technology. Through interactive 3D press models, attendees can virtually open press doors, explore internal components, activate exploded views and follow imaging, paper transport, toner, inkjet and finishing systems through the machine. It offers a different way to understand what is happening beneath the covers and how the engineering inside contributes to print quality, uptime, automation and application versatility.
Make the Path to Press Smarter
Of course, a press is only part of the production equation. As job counts increase and run lengths shrink, the path a job takes before reaching the engine becomes just as important. Workflow and color management will therefore have a prominent place in Booth #N6042.
ColorPath SYNC provides cloud-based calibration and profiling designed to create more consistent color across devices while Revoria XMF PressReady automates job processing and helps reduce the repetitive decisions and manual touches capable of slowing digital production. A more predictable path to the press makes it easier to keep equipment productive while allowing people to focus on work requiring their expertise.
Turn Capability into Opportunity
We also want the booth to demonstrate what happens when these capabilities connect. Our ASPIRE Program will show how print providers can turn CMYK+ capabilities into applications and business opportunities through education, training and business-development resources.
Partner solutions and applications from Plockmatic, GBC, Skandacor, Fiery, Neenah Paper, Nekoosa, Color-Logic, Sihl and Felix Schoeller will be in the booth to demonstrate how finishing, media, embellishment, workflow and specialty applications can come together around the press.
Sometimes, the easiest way to understand the possibilities is simply to hold them in your hand. Visitors will be able to do exactly that with limited-edition collectible trading cards developed through a collaboration between Unifoil and Leaf Trading Cards.
Produced using Unifoil Unilustre DI® metallic stock and specialty toners printed on the REVORIA PRESS™ PC2120, the cards offer a tangible example of how substrate, toner and design can work together to create something beyond conventional CMYK.
Ultimately, our goal is to have you leave Las Vegas thinking differently about what is possible for your business. Innovation matters most when it solves real problems, opens the door to new applications and gives print providers practical ways to become more efficient, more capable and better positioned for what comes next.
More to Explore
You do not have to wait until Las Vegas to explore what is possible. In this issue, we examine how color management can protect profitability, workflow automation can unlock capacity and CMYK+ can create new opportunities. We also step inside Fujifilm’s new virtual and augmented reality experience, talk specialty color with Color-Logic co-founder Mark Geeves and explore how ApeosPro brings production capabilities closer to the office.
Consider it a preview of the conversations we look forward to continuing at Booth #N6042.
See you in Vegas.
